does this daybed work without the back panel?

Im looking for a daybed to float in the center of a room and love this one, but prefer it without the back panel. Can it be removed and the daybed still function?

Yes, it can be special ordered without the back panel. Due to the fact that it is not currently in the line, there would be a 6 to 7 week time frame to complete. Price would be $1,960.00 (includes shipping to curbside).
