My machine had jammed quite often before, so I had cleaned the lint out. It worked so much better. Before I put it away, I also oiled the parts of it.

Today, I felt so confident and excited that my machine was going to be super efficient this time. Well.....I was happy too quickly. In fact, the hand wheel was stuck. Looking at the parts and tried to figure what's wrong, but couldn't. I searched online and found answers about bobbin area jammed due to broken thread or needle.

I cleaned it again, yet not much lint this time, for I cleaned it last time. Still, it was stuck but seemed less tight. Finally, I could turn the hand wheel without ease. The bobbin area seems sticky or something. The parts I had oiled a while ago feel the same way.

I couldn't find the sewing machine lubricant last time, so I used the lubricant for the paper shredder, thinking that they were both made of metal parts.

So... I maybe very wrong on this. Anyway, the damage is done. How can I

1. clean the heavy oil up; the bobbin area seems to be very thoroughly and evenly oiled

2. or fix the way it is without cleaning the oil up?
