Even though the Craftsman style is on the masculine side, it's also very cottagey to me. Perhaps you might choose furnishings, lighting and accessories that suit your personal style, but use the typical Craftsman color palette to tie it all together. Go for some saturated blues, greens and rusty reds/oranges along side cream and camel tones. Sounds pretty already!

Thanks for the reply. I think that would work. Now that you mention it, the lighting fixtures are kind of throwing me off. Maybe if we switch them out I will be able to make some progress. Great ideas on the colors too. I love that they have used both dark wood and white trim. The white brightens it up a bit and gives it more of that "cottagy" style that I am drawn to.
