Deciding on a home's main rug can be hard.

The amount of options makes it terrible! But once you decide on the material, pattern and style, there's also the "color" issue.

Personally, I absolutely love the amount o texture, warmth and elegance of a patchwork cowhide rug (obviously, right?).

They are so durable and easy to mantain. And they do look delicate and soft.

I have a white cowhide rug at home and more than often when I have guests I get asked the same question: "can I step on it?"

Really? It's a rug! Go for it, step on it, jump on it, I'd even tell you to take off your shoes and feel the soft hide under your feet!

But how about black ones? They are so shiny and perfect that the reaction is just the same: "Can I..?"

So, would you choose a minimal, cool, fancy white one or a sultry, sexy, shiny black one?
