In the BM link you'll see their color trends (scroll down a bit) and the top row of about 5 shades all work well with each other and if you want the rooms to flow, these should work. It really also depends on your decor, if any of these will suit.

A.C.T Builders, I have a question for you, why is it you would paint the doors and trim? Then you would have to paint or buy new baseboards, window trim and stair case railing would you not, others wise it would look so weird would it not.

Paint the house a nice soft cream color with a warm base to bring out the warmth in the oak. It should have enough warmth to lighten the oak and not offend any one when they are looking. Your painter should have a few ideas of houses he has done in the same white over and over.

I think Benjamin Moore has a color called Cloud White. I have used it on my last three homes and love it as a trim color and have used it in a small bathroom with oak fixtures. Here it is on a whole house, even the ceiling!

The More Info icon says the floors were sanded and finished on site and the wood is Brazilian Cherry. I think Lumber Liquidators has very similar wood looks for flooring tha they sell.
