It is just about 7 weeks since the last rain which amounted to 1/4" or more.

That early September rainstorm followed one in July, about 7 weeks previous, of 1/4" plus. It looks like we just might get another 1/4" of rain from the blowing drizzle this morning and continuing through the weekend. If I was given to holding my breath waiting for the "rain" mentioned by the forecasters, however .... I'd be dead!

A tenth of an inch of rain counts for nothing. The dead tree leaves from the trees stick to your shoes ... A quarter inch won't help but the lawn grass might appreciate it. I very, very much hope that we don't have to wait for another Lucky 7 and what we really need at this time of year is first some rain then snow, snow, snow.

The trick or treaters may have to suffer a little to gain their treats. We will see.
