This is our newly redesigned fireplace. Firstly, we rebuilt the width of the hearth bench to be more substantial and wider to create better proportions and balance. Then we installed new tile surround, including porcelain 20" on hearth bench and mother-of-pearl accent around the face (groutless subway) and front of step (1" square). We installed dimensional panels in the two upper niches and installed LED lights that can be programed to dozens of different colors and fading patterns. Finally, we removed the dated looking logs and installed a stainless steal inert with aqua blue and black fire-glass.
