Think very carefully before engaging this tile company. Tithof does not stand behind the samples it provides as being representative of its product. I bought both slate for a mudroom and Oceanside glass tile for a backsplash. The representative, Brook, assured me that this was superficial only and would not appear after sealing. Lies or incompetence.. After installed, many tiles had white spots. She blamed the installer for not ordering enough tile. We had enough, but so many were screwed up, the installer actually saved the day by using elbow grease and product of remove the white splotches. The backsplash was a disaster. We chose a glass tile to match existing granite counter (see photo). Tile arrive; took out of box. Looked "reasonably" close -- given it was not installed. After installation, color was IN NO WAY SIMILAR TO SAMPLE (see photo). John Tithof, owner came out. Arrogant; defensive; said we shouldn't have installed. Said it needed priming. When we said it HAD been primed, he reversed himself. "Oh, no. Oceanside won't back it up if primed." Hmmm. Dissembler? I asked what they would do to compensate for having to rip out. If they had offered $100 as goodwill, I would have been happy. Instead they charged my credit card for balance without my permission (contract notes they will do this: If you are foolish enough to use them, CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD AFTER MAKING DEPOSIT. Then you have some negotiating power with these charlatans.

Sorry: adding to above. The slate sample had some white splotches on it and Brook ASSURED me that they would not be visible after sealing.
