We are doing a major home remodel, and I really appreciate any advice regarding a kitchen backsplash. My brain is almost fried from thinking about this. Countertops are New Venetian Gold, and cabinets are glazed maple. Because the island and counter tops are a "busy" pattern, I think I need a very subdued backsplash with grout to match the tile as closely as possible. I don't want anything that will read pink or yellow when placed next to the hues in the granite. In fact, I'm seeking to cool down the cabinets and warm tones of the counters. I brought home a sample of this glossy gray-ish subway tile. What do you think? I also have medium color wood floors. Thank you in advance for your advice, even if you have to say, "crazy lady, you're waaay off track!" This photo is not a spot on depiction of the colors, but the best I can offer.
