does it have a fan? or any kind of ventilation system?

Hello and thank you for your question. The 60" Modern Flames Electric Fireplace DOES have a heater fan (dual forced air fans that are built into the unit). There's no additional ventilation necessary since it is electric. If we can be of more help, please let us know.

and where exactly are the air fans? i guess my concern is that I don't want the unit to be sticking out of the wall too much, and I want the frame to be as small as possible. So I just wonder, where is the fan in this unit?
