PS because of the configuration of the room, that's the only wall the bed can go on. :(

Could you angle the bed on the corner?

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the wall the bed is on is the only wall long enough to accommodate the bed and 2 nightstands, even small ones.

Privacy film and tulip shades, which always stay up over the headboard. Those floors! Transom! Lovely home!

The wall at the foot of the bed is the same size as the wall you have your bed on now, I would swap it and have the door moved to open the opposite direction to swing to the right instead of left

If you can't angle the bed I would move it one foot closer to the wall, which will still give you space to get out of bed. I would do a white shade. Something like this.

Or even a barn sliding door, or a pocket door, that window is a bone of contention and always will be, fix the bed layout issue and have a window view to boot,than you can hang beautiful drapery to go with that gorgeous bed

Don't worry about the off-center window. Do a cottage style, all white, with filmy white curtains and painted nightstands. Replace the dresser with an armoire--a Scandinavian, antique if you can find one.

Can you move the bed further to the right so it's blocking less of the window? Don't worry about centering it on the window wall.

The other suggestions are great. I had the same problem with an awkwardly placed window and solved it by covering the area behind the bed with drapes so you couldn't really see the window. I didn't need the light from the window so you may feel differently. But it's another suggestion to consider.

I would free the window by placing the bed at 45 degree angle (head in the right corner) and put the foot bench under window. Then you can treat the window any way you want and you can also have access to it. Instead of nightstands you can install wall console shelves.

What did you end up doing? Can you post a picture.

Ceiling to floor wall to wall white blackout curtains. Blackout so that you don't see the light behind the curtain and give away what you are hiding.

I say a matte silk that is heavy and lined. Soft and elegant. Or something with the same look and perhaps less expensive.

It will hide the window, provide insulating value and still be bright in the space.

It will dress it right up.
