I think the 4 silver frames lined up along the top are not at the right place. Also I think that the pieces are all too close to the same size. I like the motorcycle picture. I would reframe one of the photos to increase the size and place the other items around that.

the 4 silver frames are ceramic plaques, so where should they go? which "photo" ( ie motorcycle or engine pic?) should be reframed? and how much bigger?

I would move the engine and the door knob to spread out that bright white. But this arrangement seems very small and sort of dainty for an area with a vaulted ceiling. Take a look thru photos of gallery walls for inspiration and ideas. They are fun but daunting!

It would help if you could show us the wall the arrangement will go on. What size are we filling in?

Old maps are also great to frame.

All comments are helpful, I was going to place items above the chair rail in picture. the pony wall start would be the left side of the gallery. I would have to not go too far to the right as the door would hit the items, do you think? or should I be centering it in the space? width of space would be about 6.5 ft and height is about 8 ft. I'll have to move things from the table to the floor to better judge spacing of items. I do have a larger mirror shaped like the small ones. I could eliminate the small ones and have 1 large mirror which would be an anchor (it's larger that any of the other items.) will post another pic with suggestions tomorrow. thanks all

Are the patent figures purchased, or did you print them out? If you printed them, I'd reprint them on ivory paper, or, use black tea to SLIGHTLY color the paper. Years ago, I printed out patent figures of sewing machines from the early 1900s, from Google, tore the edges for a rough look, used black tea to give them an aged look, and framed them in shallow shadow boxes for craft room decor.

And the reason to change the color is to make the contrast less stark between the objects.

I agree with Pamela. Pick your main picture then work around it. That's how I do all of my gallery walls. I make a painters tape box of the space I have on the floor. Then put in the "anchor" piece and start laying it out. To me the motorcycle prints (very cool) will stand out the most anyway so I'd put those in the middle.

With so many elements, could you consider some groups or a bit of symmetry? Not so wild to use the aforementioned metallic as the 4 corners of the group - but along that idea. Agree with "first pick main piece" like an inspiration piece, then play with the next group and so on. With a large grouping, I like to start with clearly defined square or rectangle for the outside edges of the whole group. Lovely pieces.

I like the arrangement except for the bottom row. I know, now that it is up, difficult to change! I think too many of the same small frames. A wooden frame would be nice mixed in there.

I love the placement and theme! It looks awesome.
