Tempe, Arizona home built 1972; 3 bed 2 bath. End game, I'd like the house to have a southwest/spanish revival look with a modern feel. Renovated front yard last year xeriscape style. I'd like the backyard to be 3 things: open, inviting, and functional. I'm a young bachelor living with roommate, we both have girlfriend. We like to host football games, holidays, etc... at my house.

I really like what new bars are doing; they create their patio's with lots space for activity and hanging out (ie: bags, fake patch of grass, etc...). Would love any suggestions on top of what my friend has put together for me to finalize the layout. Anything from big design layout suggestions down to textures, color and materials. Thanks!
