Need a creative solution for ODD exterior window that's now interior.

As you can see from the pictures we have a window (that use to be an exterior window) over the kitchen sink. An addition was added several years ago (from the previous owners).

Now that we bought the house we are building a main level powder room on the other side of this window. The window is now completely covered (all you see are 2x4s and drywall). I need solutions for this window (shade? glass? curtains?). As you can see it's a fairly modern kitchen. Ideas appreciated!!!!

You could add thick dark/walnut-colored shelving to match your kitchen counter tops.

Cover it over with drywall, bring the tile up to the ceiling and add a great pendent light.

Or, given that you have a window frame there (and may or may not be able to find more of the backsplash tile), you could fill in the window with drywall and then add a mirror or a mirrored mosaic there, keeping the feel of a window -- even better if it's divided into panes.

Of course, you may prefer not to watch yourself do dishes, in which case fogged glass or a shiny mosaic may be preferable. Still, I think the look is cute.
