K this office does not go AT all. Is it possible to pull in the rug with the chaise somehow? Or are the two strong patterns together a design No No? I was thinking maybe some cushions would pull it together?.. Im not scared of mixing prints and patterns but sometimes I may take it a little too far.. I want to keep the chair, switch the sheer curtains with some other window treatment, and get some big wall art.
I feel my design style is a mix of Eclectic-Contemporary. I want to get rid of that little girl style, and make it look fun, express my love for fashion, and make it look more sophisticated. Maybe make a feminine office/closet joint room?
So far this room I find the most enjoyable of the house. Its really hard working with a small space but we refused to put our tv or couches in front of the windows, so this seemed to be the best option. I would like to find a gorgeous short gold chandelier to hang above the couch where that light is. I would like a small ottoman with some textured fabric to go by the arm chair, and crown molding around the celiing.
This couch is the comfiest thing ever, but it is so massive for this room, I keep asking myself if we should down size? I also need to find a centerpiece for the table and maybe a small leaf wreath to hang on that closet door. I have wall art on the other wall that is not showing.
This Living room currently has an original wood burning fireplace, and looks like a hole in the wall as we are planning to hopefully get a fireplace insert and use white marble to tile around it. We also would like to build in the TV and hide all of those cords, and higher the wall art above the arm chair.
This bathroom is not my best friend. I hate all of the blue, I am over the curtain, and we have the hardest time with storage, that cabinet I keep hitting my head on, and everything else is under the cabinet under the sink. Those bath towels are so old and ruined, will plan on upgrading those asap. Any ideas on what to do here? I am mainly looking for new lighting, ways to decorate, storage solutions.
This bed is one of the most expensive pieces of furniture I own, and I absolutely love it but it takes up the whole room. In our bedroom I would like to go for more of an all white-airy look with a touch of color in the accessories. We are getting boxsprings to lift the bed higher and I really want to either change the throw pillows or bedding because this doesn't look right. I am going for more of a bright, cheerful, look.
I also need Ideas on how to hide that unbalanced window above the bed ASAP. My mom told me to make/find a canopy and put a big ornate mirror/or wall art to put over the top above the bed? What are your suggestions on this?
I also want to get rid of the sheer curtains and I feel like I am drowning in them because we use curtains as closet doors also. I am either looking for some closet doors, or a closet pretty enough, were I would feel that I can leave it open to help open up the space, and make the small room look bigger. I would also like to hang some pretty lighting on the ceiling and get rid of the black ceiling fan.
K I have been looking for either a contemporary dresser/ or a unique eclectic dresser for FOREVER. We have just been using this ancient one, and it does not match my style at all. NEEDS TO GO. Any suggestions on good dressers about that size? I would also switch it out with a vanity dresser with a mirror..
The hubs and I bought this older home a few months ago and the rooms are VERY small so I would love some expertise from anyone on how to get creative with the space. I know there is A LOT of things not working design wise right now, and I love good interior design but you would never tell with how my house looks right now. This is why I need your help! Throw out any suggestions you have!
P.S. I know that Houzz is a marketplace full of Home professionals of all kinds and I am a blogger and reach about 17,000 social media followers and over 6,000 monthly viewers. I am hoping some Pros will see this and if you would like to collaborate please respond with the best email for me to message you, or message me so we can figure out the best way we can work together. I have lots of fun ideas, and I feel we could both help each other out. Thanks so much!
Now let the fun begin!
Cheers!
