14 pounds is a lot of bulbs. I probably should have planted all the other ones I have first.... serves me right for digging and dividing!

Wow, they sold out most of their stock. I was looking to get some multflowering hyacinths but they are all sold out.

My time to plant bulbs is usually over by the time they have their sale. If I lived somewhere warmer, I'd be tempted to get more, too.

katob, did you get all of your bulbs planted?

At least you have enough sense not to fall for sales that push the weather.... I've gotten into trouble with some of the late clearance sales when I'm out there planting the day before a snowstorm! Still it's been fun and worth it to have the chance to get all those new goodies each year. You can bet my gardens have filled up plenty :)

I'm about to go out there and try and make a dent in my to-plant list. The crocus went in last weekend so things are moving along, but I did dig a lot of daffodils last summer and now it's time to find new spots for them... Plus 50 more daffs which I really didn't need to buy!

Katob, I am sorry to say that the multiflowering hyacinths do not make it through the summer. I guess they all rotted. I went in to the area I planted them to see if they are still there but nothing. I guess they are like annual bulbs.

Hi Karen, too bad about your hyacinths. I have some of the multiflowering type and they come back each year better than the last. I've tried to add some new colors but they were forced indoors first, so it may take a year or two for them to recover.

all my bulbs are in, it feels good yet I'm worried I will crack as soon as I see another sale. You can never have too many tulips!
