I see your nice crown molding, and if the windows are cased similarly I'd bring your rod closer to the ceiling, and drape to the floor. I wouldn't be afraid of adding color or pattern.

hang rod halfway between top of window casing and bottom of crown molding and 6-8" wider than window. Cannot see your furniture but looks like you could use a geometric design fabric. Move armoire flat against wall so it doesn't block window and remove stuff from top

Center the cabinet on the wall - it doesn't need to be squished into the corner. And you need longer drapes, these are too short.
