If your room is 16' and the table is 10' it is recommend 2' for pulling out chairs for sitting. That is cutting it pretty close. Goes the same for side chairs, so if you want to add more pieces, I don't know where you would put them. There is just not room.

I have a table that is 8’ long in this size space and when I need it it extends to 10.5’ it work and allows a space for a wall hung cabinet that is 14” deep.
