Contractor damaged window. Is window now garbage?

Please see the attached pic. Just noticed two nails were driven through the actual window. The nails come up in the slot where the window slides down so basically my windows wont close all the way right now. Hopefully a pro will comment on this but is the window compromised? Can it be fixed? Surely the warranty is void correct?

Read the warranty on the window. They probably have an exclusion for improper installation as most warranties do. This problem would most likely qualify as improper.

Have you contacted the contractor who did the work? Can't the nails be removed and the damaged area patched?

Accidents happen, but this looks very sloppy. As grapefruit mentioned, the contractor should be required to fix this. Trying to work out which contractor might be the problem. I'm having difficulty working out where the nails/screws originated from the photos: window installers or the trim carpenters? If they are vinyl windows, I think you should try for new windows, or the manufacturer's recommended patch at least.

The contractor is more than willing to fix. That's not the issue. My fear is that the integrity of the window is compromised and at the very least the warranty is void.
