I think marble would look amazing with those floors. Not so sure about the white cabinets. I think it's best to make easily reversible changes before making more permanent ones. Paint your walls white before you paint the cabinets. That may just give you the brightness you're looking for. Once you paint the cabinets you can't really go back, and from what I can see they look very nice. If you still need a change, try some new hardware. It's surprising the difference that can make. If that still doesn't do it for you, then go ahead and paint them white. It would look ok with the style of your house, but I think the wood coordinates better.

I don't know why your floor wouldn't work with white cabinets. You just need to work around them with your colors.
