      Hi! I am from Argentina and I have noticed that in the US, people place the microwaves on top of the regular stove, doesn't that damage the microwave? I am designing my kitchen cabinet and it would be of great help to have that space as an option to create a compact kitchen. Thanks in advance.

      Sydorcaro - you can buy specific "above the stove" microwaves. The microwave unit usually includes a vent fan for the stove.
