making the breeze way the front door, is a great idea. i would go with that, also gives you a mud room of sorts for winter gear and such. i would do a stepped deck, that starts at the breeze way at ground level and then tears up to the sliding glass door level with steps. no steps up to the deck anywhere else, so people know to go in the front is the breeze way entrance. after that you need to landscape with soft curves. you could also to a pergola over the deck upper level that is semi enclosed by lattice or slats....

Thanks for asking. Can you remove some of the driveway in front of the breezeway doors. Direct family and guests to park elsewhere? Create a green space and pedestrian walk to the new front entry. Create as much space as possible from the front entry to the dining room door by closing off the deck access, moving the deck further along the building or eliminating the deck and build a stair to a new patio. Getting closer to the ground may help with wind too.
