It certainly has been a mild autumn.

My tomatoes, all in the ground, were frosted dead a couple of weeks ago. I meant to take someslips for winter cuttings, but didn't get to that in time.

All my fall planted alliums have put in a show and I planted some real late radishes of several kinds in October just to see what happens. I think every seed germinated and there are quite a few true leaves showing. I have a very nice selection of cured onions and garlics left after fall planting for winter cooking.

I gave away my sweet potatoes (Beauregard did real well last summer from potted plants from Backmanns ) to my mother who loves em, but I still have a half bucket of fingerling Irish potatoes. I am by myself; so I use how ever many I need for any meal with no waste (I wash but don't peel) and my little harvest will last a long time.

Time to clean out the front porch which was my 'curing shed' and salvage any left overs before it freezes out there.
