good question!! the other day I was paging back trying to find the butternut squash post wondering the same thing!

You would think there would be a simple way to achieve it. There is a bookmark thingy but I think that saves just one comment and not the whole post with all the comments.

Once, many years ago when Garden Web was operated by iVillage, I copied an entire thread to a new post, and it worked. But then that thread scrolled off into space. Oh well!

Pages/threads can go away, so what I do on my iMac is control+click on a page I want to save (think that's Right click on Windows?) & select 'print' from the pop up menu, then select 'open PDF in preview' in the print preview window. I can then save & name that .pdf file to my desktop or to any folder I choose.

It's kind of like printing pages out, but no paper or ink gets wasted.

In the old GW you could just scroll and highlight the whole thread and then copy to a word document, which you could then saved on your computer.

Chispa, that's exactly what I should have said, and then pasting it from the word doc into a new post. Some threads are just too good to lose!
