Bathroom floor tile

Hi there,
I am finishing up my basement and am in the process of selecting the floor tile. The bathroom is fairly large with a free standing tub. the vanity is dark brown- gray and the countertop is Carrara marble (left over) from the slab used for master bathroom. I don't want the basement bathroom to be all Carrara. I would like medium tone floor tile since it is large area. I found this Roccia from Ames in Wood grain porcelain tile and the backsplash that has a mix of Carrara, woodgrain and some other gray marble. See attached photo. My question is should if this is right combination. The plan is to have walls painted in BM revere pewter. your comments are much appreciated. Thanks :)

I really like the tiles and they tie in well together, would pewter walls not be dark, the backsplash tiles are quite busy?

You could get away with it. I think a color more like the darker color in the marble would be better. The backsplash does sound busy.

You can see the marble in person, so only you can judge the paint color. On my screen it looks as if it could work.

thank you both for the comments. My main concern was the tile choice. The marble mix is quite busy, but I needed something to tie the marble countertop to the wood grain floor tile and this mix was perfect. I am open to other suggestions as well. in regards to the wall paint, That can be easily changed. Right now the room is primed with revere pewter and it does not look dark. I can potentially go with BM Balboa mist, with is light gray and cooler paint than the revere pewter.

I was hoping to get some more comments on this. My dillema is not the wall color but rather the tile selection. Is the warm floor tile (woodgrain) too warm for teh cool carrera marble countertop. With teh backsplash I was trying to tie in teh countertop to the floor. The countertop area is quite small (48" wide) in comparison to the floor area . The bathroom is quite large 10x 12 ft with free standing tub. The tiles are not purchased, so please if anyone has any comments to add that would be great. Thansk

I'm not feeling the floor tile. When the marble is installed, it will read cool/white in tone. The cabs are cool dark brown. The floor will read creamy "bamboo" colouring whic will not be very handsome. You are setting yourself up for a colour clash.

Ames is showing a few different tiles. I would prefer to see a different product...one with less yellow. Bring home a few other samples to see what would look better with the cold colouring of the marble.

Thanks you for taking the time to respond to this post. It was very helpful. I have started a poll with the other too options with floor tiles in gray. Hope to get some answers (help)/reassurance so I can finally get some sleep> Thanks again. Cheers:)

I do not like the color in the floor tile. I know it is hard to get color right online, so I will explain. The countertop has what look like gray threads running through. The flooring has a brownish gray. If you go for a gray floor, I think it should be like the gray in the counter.

Got it emmarene :) and thanks for teh comment . I started a poll last night with my other two options with cool gray tiles for teh floor and see that I got some votes but for some reason I can not see the votes, that is for which option I have votes so reposting teh photos here. My apologies for doubling the posts- just trying to make decision here.

So which one should I go with ?
