I love your decor! Definitely prefer the white one. The size looks more balanced and the color works better with your space. I agree with the previous poster who said the skinniness of the gray one looks odd.

I agree that the gray is too narrow. I prefer the cream.

Am amazed that so many people have an opinion without seeing anything else in the room. Would like to see your kitchen cabinets at the least!

I like the white and think it works well with your white wainscotting. It will provide more storage as well as a wider area to places things when required.

the white one, for depth and color and i'm not a fan of faux distressing. so if the grey one works better size wise, paint it white.

The gray one looks skimpy under the picture. You need the piece below to be about 25% wider than whatever hangs above it. Plus the white one holds more stuff!

I liked the grey one and I think the space is narrow enough you would want to cabinet to be narrow to keep the traffic smooth flowing--unless you really need the storage then go with the white which does pick up the wainscoting nicely.

I also think that the space looks very narrow and the gray would likely be more practical for traffic flow, but if you really need the storage the white will work. It would be nice to have a minimum of 40" between your kitchen cabinets and the decorative storage cabinet.

The white and red contrast is more pleasing to the eye.
It complements the white appliances and white wainscotting along the wall. It goes well with the table more than the grey one too.
Another option is to find new knobs from Home Depot, dressing it up with a runner on top for gatherings and it can be used as a sideboard for entertaining guests.

I like the grey cabinet better but vote for the white one in the room. More space, better proportion and best contrast.

Thanks again for all the opinions. Very helpful. The white one does make the space a bit narrow, but I think it will be fine. I know the rug doesn't go but I haven't found another I like and my tiny chihuahua likes to stand on the rug while eating.
