I think if you want to add fuchsia, you will need some art with that color.

I just find the wall could use a higher wider unit. It's hidden behind the chairs.

The colour you are looking at is, I think, too dark for that space. But if you REALLY like you might be able to get away with an accent wall in it. You would need to be really careful though as that colour with your dark furniture would be very very heavy and I think you would have a hard time pulling in a rug and what not to work.

I think you can still go grey, but something much lighter. And, if you are still looking to mix it with fushia, watch your tones as your chairs look like they have a pinkish undertone to them in some of the photos which will clash heavily against fushia and your floors (which are lovely) might pose some issues with certain shades of it as well.

Just to confirm: I actually very much like the deep grey you picked out, I just worry about it with your heavy furniture. Its dramatic, but it order to be able to pull it off you need a light contrast and your room doesn't have that with the wood floors and dark furniture.

No ladder shelves. They are flimsy and skimpy looking and an invitation to clutter. They, along with sticks in vases, never should have been invented.

Looking at the area, the chairs could really use a small round table between them. Make it easy for guests to sit down a drink.

For ambience at night it is good to have many layers of light, so you could add a tall, thin lamp to the top of the console. On the wall you could add more texture to the room by hanging up a collection of baskets.

This table is 23 inches high. You don't want anything too tall between the chairs.

What would a mirror reflect? You could do a series of mirrors above it, three small ones across the wall, one large one centered above it, or large framed floor mirror to reflect the items you place on top of the console.

You could add a thin floor lamp to the window corner (really nice shadows at night) and a plant to the left. Thinking a rounded plant around three to four feet tall in a colorful ceramic planter. Get a real plant (Costco, Home Depot). If it starts to look sick, buy a new one. I think of plants as long lived flowers. Some make it. Some don't.

Even a plant this size could work. Put an "uplight" on the floor next to it for great nighttime effect.

That cabinet doesn't fit the style of your room. Go with something sleek that fills the wall. Then you won't be tempted to fill it up with junk. If you replace the chairs, get comfortable armchairs instead of slipper chairs.

Measure and do a mock up to see how they fit in the space. They both look good, but the first one is only 8.5 inches tall so would probably look best mounted on the wall rather than sitting on the floor.

Since the chairs will go in front of the console and TV, go with the lowest back. Please don't even look at anything like the last chair you posted. It's totally the wrong style, way too bulky and nondescript for your room.
