solution for bathroom countertops

Remodeling bath and trying to use double granite sinks that were replaced recently. Extending the sink area with a make up counter area which will attach to original sink area but will be a bit lower. Can't find matching granite. Other than purchasing new countertops all around, what other things can I be looking to do to bring it together?

Could you use, say, a solid-colored counter in that zone, say a quartz that coordinates with the granite, so that it looks intentional?

I would also suggest a solid color. maybe a quartz. but you would have to find a remnant

would I go lighter or darker - the base cabinet is dark.
