I was very happy with the dwarfs that I grew this summer which all tasted good and performed well (except that Arctic Rose had a problem with her location).

Here they are in the order of best-tasting.

I grew Rosella Crimson last year but it was more pinkish.

From last year the following are returning: my favorites:

HAHMS GELBE TOPFTOMATE : I will grow 2 or 3 of them.

PURPLE HEART

INDIGO ROSE: though not sold as dwarf , but it was more compact and shorter than most of my dwarfs.

NEW:

INDIGO APPLE: i think it has a growth habit similar to IR.

NEW BIG DWARF; I got hooked on this one based on Hudson's good reviews. It is probably a DET, 3 - 4ft tall. Not quite a dwarf.

I also grew a Kumato (F2) in pot, past season. Again it was not bigger/taller than most dwarfs. I will grow F3 .

BTW: I will start HGT's few weeks early. They can be managed under lights fine.

However, it remains to be seen, how it will do in our PNW climate. But nevertheless, it is worth trying.

Don't overlook New Big Dwarf in 2016! You should try this Dwarf at least once - IMO. Are there other Dwarf varieties that produce large 8-16oz fruit like NBD? If so - I would like to try it - a photo would help - thanks!

As far as I know there is no dwarf variety with beefsteak size tomatoes like NBD.

The largest one I had was Bush Goliath with 5-6 oz tomatoes. Bu then it produced no more than 4 tomatoes. My other one was Purple Heart w/ about 8 oz fruit size.
