growing lupine from seed

I live in zone 7 (close to 6) in the U.S. (Delaware). I fell in love with lupine on a trip to England in 2014. I planted established plants in spring of 2015 and they are still alive. I bought lupine seed online and the packet said I could plant in late fall so they would sprout in the spring(2016) but they are sprouting NOW (Nov. 22). What does this mean? Will they die over the winter?
