I looked at my Hibiscus pics, and most of them are ones I had earlier when I lived in the islands. I left all of them, and only have 3

I regularly drool over her website. I just wish she could ship more of them to the mainland. You're lucky to be able to go buy in person.

These are all so beautiful. I have started them from Richards seed from the French Polynesia and he also has some marvelous blooms. Although, I do not believe that he ships plants.

Beautiful, Jericson! I'm impressed that it has bloomed so quickly, but you do have the ideal climate for them.

Karen, they are not difficult to start. They are best if scarified (seed nicked) prior to sowing and kept in humid situation (propagator).

Hibiscus seeds do not come true to seed. Good to get seed from reputable grower selling seed and doing good crossing practices. My seedling started Jan 2015 bloomed this summer. Can be done.

Jericson has a friend close to him, but I am not sure if she sells seed?

she ships world wide...but never sell seeds, , since she's not sure if the flowers will be nice or its gonna be the same as the mother plant, she cross breeds everyday grows seeds all the time, then wait till they flower, and check if its good enough for sales, and if not shes gonna throw it away, and keep breeding,

Thanks for the additional info, Rick and Jericson. If I can find some seed I'll try growing some. I do love Hibiscus. I have a very common orange one that has had at least 5 flowers on it daily for months. During the summer the blooms only last one day, but right now they're lasting up to 4 days in my greenhouse.

theres a group in fb for hibiscus, sometimes theres people selling seeds, and every end of the month i think theres an auction for seeds, i tried to bid, but they get to high lol

Thanks, Jericson, but I'm one of those dinosaur people who have stayed away from FB. I'm being tempted by the different plant groups there. :)
