Does this rug have a backing on it? How thick is it?

I'm looking for info on the pile of the rug and its backing. I'm curious about shedding and stain resistance.

Hello,

The pile on this is 0.625". This is a tufted rug and has a cotton backing on it. The rug should have very minimal shedding as it's polyester and not wool, but you will still want to be careful to care for the rug correctly-- turning off the beater bar on your vacuum or at least raising it as far as it can be raised so it doesn't snag the fibers or fuzz the surface prematurely. Polyester isn't as stain resistant as wool, but if you catch any stains early and clean them as recommended, you should be fine. Let me know if you have any other questions!
