Backsplash with kitchen wallpaper?

Any ideas for a backsplash that will go well with this wallpaper? http://bit.ly/1YCmGUk The kitchen has glossy white cabinets, light wood countertops, oak floors, btw.

Wallpaper will be on long wall where sink is - no upper cabinets, just open shelves. I'm not sure if the backsplash should go up to the lowest shelf across the length of the kitchen or just above the sink...

If you decide to do wallpaper in the kitchen, I think a 6" backsplash then all paper in your open shelving would suffice. Love the wallpaper!

I would do a very simple white subway tile or even strips of white quartz for backsplash just 6” will be fine I love the wallpaper but it might be a bit busy unless you keep the items on the open shelves to just white and maybe one other color

OMG! I never even thought about the "busyness" of the open shelves, wallpaper and dishes. Thank you so much for pointing that out! Maybe I'll just put the wallpaper across the top and tile further up....
