I would love to, but that would likely require waiting 30 years or more to save enough money! I was hoping to leave as much as possible so I can sell it to my husband...so sick of no storage and the constant mountain of dirty dishes! The cabinets beside the fridge would likely be used for large not often used items such as large pans or appliances, "good" dishes, or extra Costco stock (the nearest one is a three hour drive so we don't go very often!) This layout would only require purchasing the tall cabinets, one wall cabinet, and one base cabinet so would keep costs down and we could do most of it ourselves. Maybe we can buy the rest soon...maybe not...

Could the stove go where cabinets 7 & 8 are and the fridge where stove is? Strongly recommend turning your table the other direction. Then where you were thinking of putting the fridge could be a buffet or china cabinet. On the side of the fridge you could put in a little broom closet.

Unfortunately, that would block the main walk-way through the house. Living room/front door/stairway is through the 4 ft opening on far left of picture and bedroom/bathroom/laundry is through the smaller doorway on the bottom of the picture (next to chimney). I don't think the corner is quite wide enough to fit the fridge and the stove (because they both stick out a few inches from counter depth).

I wish I could take the chimney out...

Any ideas?
