Workbench drawer slide

Some years ago I purchased/assembled a workbench from HF. Great bench except for the drawer slides. The 4 drawers are 12" inside but only open to 6". I want to replace those short slider extensions to a full-extension type. Do I need to buy 12" sliders and look for the full-extension type? I think so but not sure. Advice appreciated, thanks
