Knob or Cup Pull on Pull-Out Trash/Recycling Drawer?

I think a knob might look better (it would then match all the other "door" style cabinets whichbhave pulls). however, the cup pulls we are using on the drawers seems like it would be easier to pull out for the heavy trash/recycling drawer. Any advice?

You can also consider a foot pedal, this will allow you to open the trash pull out hands free! Your local cabinet company or cabinet hardware supply can provide this kind of a mechanism.

Sometimes you may have your arms full of stuff as you are trying to open the trash drawer. I find I can get away with looping a pinkie under a handle, but a pull requires at least two fingers! Therefore I would vote cup pull.

The trash drawer is a drawer after all...even though it is shaped like a door, it needs a center pull, not a knob. the drawer will work better over the long run and give better service with a top center pull...not a knob.

Use good hardware and go for the pull to match the rest of the kitchen. It painful to be pretty, deal with it.

Pulls on all drawers! Knobs are too small. They look lost on drawers and an application like you are suggesting

Knobs are beautiful and can be centered --just use one on center
