1. I'm thinking of deleting the closet and building my own storage system. The closet in the model home looked to cheap and a waste of space.

2. I don't understand why the stairs from the garage are on the opposite side of the driver side? Townhouse garages are usually tight fits. I don't want to have to travel around the front or back of the car to enter the house from the garage.. So I want to flip the stairs

3. If I flip the stairs, I end up with both doors (into the garage and into the house from mudroom) to close to each other so want to do a barn door or a pocket door

The cost to flip the stairs and entry from left side to right side is $350. The cost of a pocket door through the builder is $600. The price of a barn door is $1200. There was no cot or credit to delete the closet in the mud room but I imagine it would cost $600 to build the mudroom shown in picture 4. Any thoughts houzzers? Thanks
