No kidding Karen.....and I'd love to follow that up with some kind of witty comeback.....but for one, I'm not that witty. And two, if I were, it'd probably get flagged, lol!

Going to a party today and you inspired me to take a gift basket filled with all these glorious sponges. Thanks for the idea! Do you think it will be appropriate in lieu of a casserole?

2 gifts to party are good. I decided to take a Spaghetti Squash Casserole. It's on my Health Plan. Lost 21 lbs in 3 months. Maintaining now. As good as others. Yum.

Have you considered simply recovering the sentimental sponge?

Recovering will get pricey too, but maybe it deserves this special treatment.

LB, can I prank call ya now? ;-))

But seriously, congrats on your (+ your SIL's & DD's) success(es)! Losing lbs. like that....especially in that short amount of a time....is really quite remarkable....not easy to do. Takes a lot of willpower, focus and sacrifice, I'm sure. Good for you, my friend. :-)))

Avery thanks, It's much easier than any other Plan I know about! Much easier and so healthy!. Like any other plan, if you stick to them they work. But this one has longevity, food education and making the right choices.and a great support system from those that have maintained for years. First... is wanting the change and committing to it.

DARZ, do you mean slip cover or reupholster? If reupholstered, Margo could nail head the sponge.

LB, congratulations! I bet you look fantastic as, I too, can confirm that you were already one foxy lady before the weight loss. I think you'll have no problem keeping it off. I lost 10 lbs that spring before Nashville and have maintained the lesser weight ever since. It's odd, but I haven't needed to do anything special to maintain it, which has kind of surprised me. I think when you go through the process of losing it, you really begin to pay attention to portion size and maybe that just kind of stays in the back of your mind from then on.

If adding to the master bathroom, you will need to have dual sponges.

Margo, I was just looking at your post of Dec 11th, and I feel that in the spirit of scientific accuracy, I must mention that your hat looks more like a sea anemone than a sponge.

Ann, there is a big difference between us for weight loss and maintaining. You work out a lot. I hate exercising. I do not work out but I need to definitely incorporate a little walking, stretching and isometric 'simple, not strenuous' exercise. That is healthy for sure.

LB, nice of you to give me credit for a bunch of exercise. I do work out 4 or so days a week, but it's pretty wimpy. Just enough to maintain but not enough to get fit:) Your husband is in a whole different league! Interestingly, I've begun to actually enjoy fitness. It used to be a chore, but lately, I've begun to feel quite grateful and lucky that my health is good enough to allow me to do regular workouts. Instead of thinking "I can't wait to be done", I now spend most of the time thanking my body for being so cooperative.

I'm waiting for Christmas for a low key resistance kit. Hubby prefers more reps than heavy duty exercises. He thinks it's better. Gift for him, but I'm thinking it will be great for me ;).

Check it out .... Gwee Gym kit. Total body workout.

Ok- I would like the thank everyone who helped me with this agonizing dilemma. I have decided to relocate the * sentimental inheritance * sponge. I will be sending it to roxsol to keep her daughter's *inheritance* sponge company;) As far as Crusty the Crustacean, he will just sit solo on the window sill until his sponge mate comes along.

Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays to all my HOuzz friends!! May 2016 bring us all much laughter and good times into Infinity and Beyond..>>>>>>>>>>>>

a sponge...is the dirtiest item to use. It harbors the most germs possible in the kitchen....I did a study on this...better to use a brush.Blessings
