Lovely room and furnishings. I would suggest a couple things.

Lower the art a bit (eye level on the wall) and make sure it is not too small for the space. A few of your pieces seem small on the walls.

Pull the furniture in away from the walls to make an area that makes conversations easier. Can you place the TV on the short wall where a couch is now?

Are you adding a gas fireplace, electric or a wood burning fireplace?

I like your idea of blue velvet! Gold works well with the blue. Do your windows go all the way to the floor? If not, your existing sofa back height will be okay. I only suggested putting sofa there so you could see fireplace/piano. Normally, I do not suggest it. Whether or not you have a fireplace and piano will determine where seating should be place.

If you have a spinet or upright piano (not a grand or baby grand) it needs to be on an interior wall floor for its health. If you are going to add a fireplace, you'll have two focal points, the sea view and the fireplace. With Nancy's floor plan, I would use one large rug and arrange the two sofas in an "L" on it so one looks at the fireplace and the other one faces the view. Then put the piano on the wall opposite the big sea view window.
