im not a fan of peat personally...

i would find some high quality well broken down compost, and mix %50 of the compost into it.

after that, i would use some worm tea if you can find it. or... at least add some mycorrhizal fungi.

with just peat and perlite, the soil is probably almost sterile, you need some micro-organisms. good compost should help a lot.

also, ive started using woody mulch on top of all my containers to keep moisture more stable. - dont let it touch the leaves of stem though.

ive also noticed black containers in direct sun can evaporate water and even cook roots... either paint it white, or put something in front of the container.

Peat moss, perlite some blood meal should do the trick. Dont give it tap water and try saving some rain water or use bottle water. Dont put it in direct sunlight. Since its winter it may know grow right now. I have some fruits as of now but i have it under powerful led light.
