GREAT LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

Pauline Muth forwarded information regarding the ABS - Bonsai in the Garden Learning Seminars that will take place in Grand Rapids, MI at Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park next May (2016). I thought that those of you interested in bonsai might like to take advantage of the wonderful learning opportunities you'll find at these seminars ...... plus, the show, workshops, vendors, lectures, critiques, ...... ain't too shabby either. If you have interest, take a peek at the link. I'll be there for sure - I never miss the show, and I'm thinking I remember seeing a couple of folks that pass through on occasion are from MI. You guys shouldn't miss the opportunity if you're serious about pursuing the art and science of bonsai. Gatherings like this are invaluable to your progress in the art.

Great! Julie Franke from Meijer Gardens called this past week but I wasn't in. I'm guessing she was wondering if I was making an effort to let people know about the opportunity in May. She'll be glad to learn there's interest, as this is the first time The Gardens has offered the learning seminars (to this extent) along with the show. I hope you like it - there's ALWAYS something interesting going on, and you could take an entire day to enjoy the gardens and sculptures alone. They also have a Japanese garden you'll surely like.

Don't forget the 2016 ABS Bonsai in the Garden Learning Seminars (and show) starts Friday and runs through the weekend. There will be a large number of high quality trees and plenty of vendors, as well as workshops, demos, and lectures. If you can make it, you shouldn't miss it.
