Great looking house. Really don't like the sculpted shrubs on either side of the door. I would get rid of those and just freshen up the landscaping with some pruning and maybe so color. Can't really tell much about the door but maybe change the color of it.

I'd thin out some of the overgrown landscaping. Increase some of the classical value by having the coins done in stucco or other appropriate material so they match the arch at the entry. This one below is a bit too much contrast for my taste, but you can see the difference it could make. Then I'd install the same arch trim with keystones at the lower windows. They look to be French doors. Is there a nice bit of patio running across the front that you could step out onto? Note the wrought iron "balconies" used on the home in the bottom photo.

About $30K in landscaping would spiff it up. If you hate it, and the only thing that it has going for it is price and location, I suggest you keep looking. But if it is the only house that has come on the market in your favored location at a good price in the last decade, then you could go for the new landscaping which will dramatically change its appearance.

I'll bring my truck over and take the Dr. Seuss trees off your hands anytime. And I'd like to see a classic style Georgian portico a la Deco's posted ideas. Lots of potential and a wonderful spacious yard. Good luck!
