My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Entry Bench

Just wanted to post a couple photos of an entry bench I just finished in our hallway. No real need for a before pic. There was an empty wall. I had the bench top made. It is Sycamore. Otherwise, I did the rest. What do you think?

    Awesome project and results!

    Wow, LOVE the idea of a live edge slab for bench - might have to do that! Your mud setup is very similar to mine - made mine from slicing in half an Ethan Allen solid rock maple hutch top I scored at Habitat restore (did a little re-arranging to the unit in the process, too).

    Right now, my hall bench has a solid core Lauan door as the seat (craigslist):

      Gorgeous. The live edge wood makes it. We have 2 live edge wood countertops in our kitchen & they really make the whole room.

      Looks great, these are more and more popular. We put them in most of our homes great way to organize items and it looks to be a part of the home.
