Paint all the cabinets a nice warm white declutter counters and change counters

Paint them the same color as your white trim. Use the same white for the backsplash- if you tend to keep a lot of things on the counter, they'll block the view of it.

By the way, an old homeowner's tip is to swap a broken cabinet pull on a frequently used drawer with one that comes from above the fridge or some other rarely used place. You can do the same swap for drawer guides on the inside back of the drawers. The bottom drawers are often the least used.

While you're painting, I'd fill the current handle holes and get new updated pulls and place them in better positions (upper corners of lower cupboards and lower corners of uppers) -- that's a lot of modernization for a little money.
