Hi, the cooker is from La Cornue and the chairs are made by Plain English Kitchens, who did all the cabinatry and the table

shorty4045 - I've been a "virtual" admirer of Plain English kitchens for ages - nice to see a "real" installation (and good grief, that must have been an I-need-a-stiff-drink reno at times!).

Are you happy with the Plain English cabinetry? I noticed that the kick-plate - the strip between the bottom of the cabinets and the (gorgeous) floor - isn't recessed like most kick-plates; does this mean you get a sore back after a while standing at the counter, because you can't stand really close, or do the counters stick out enough from the cabinetry that it's not an issue?

It's a pleasing look, just wondering how workable it is.

Hi, we went for recessed in the small utility, just for a different look, I don't think it makes any practical difference. They did a wonderful job and are happy to return for any minor snagging issues.
