You have a lot of leather and tile and a glass coffee table. Those are all cold pieces. You definitely need a rug to warm up the space. Maybe something in red if you are looking at an Asian theme. The picture over the loveseat is too narrow. Should take up 2/3-3/4 of area over sofa.

If the folding screen isn't hiding something, pull the sofa away from the wall and use the screen behind it. How about some Chinese red pillows, a throw and a piece of Asian sculpture on the coffee table?

This painting would be a better fit and add some warmth to the room.

That would certainly warm up the area, but it is very small and a solid top coffee table will reduce the open look that the glass gives you. I would stay with a plain lighter colored rug also. Maybe a sisal?

Susan2494 love your ideas! Saskatoo that space is really small and dark. All that furniture makes it look cramped. Maybe get rid of some of the furniture like the tall glass table next to the sofa and also that screen. I noticed the screen is covering a window. Removing some pieces will open up the space and let light in.
