Interior house colors

The exterior of our new home will match the RV Barn, with colors. The interior is very open and I am trying to chose a color pallet. The living area kitchen and dining flow into one another lots of light. The kitchen will have white cabinets the floor is medium hickory . My question is should I stay with the brown color pallet, or could I use shades of gray? Any help is greatly appreciated! There will be stone foundation as soon as it can be done

Consider greige - not gray; not beige - here's an article about it. In a very open concept home you might be able to flow shades from the same color chip card throughout. Use the darkest shade in very bright spaces, medium tones work in rooms with less natural light, lightest tints can go in hallways, closets, and baths. Then the very lightest tint can often be cut with 50% white for the ceiling.

That color between beige and gray is "Greige," but it doesn't always say greige in the paint's color name. Ask for help at the paint store.

We always called it taupe.

so often that is what is in the color name

Thank your all this is the perfect answer. I have looked at different post with the colors, I can just see how it will flow, and pop some color in different rooms, The house has unique shape with Windows and more Windows. A ten foot deep wrap porch. We sold our home and downsizing, so small space = get just what you want? Lol
