go with stainless! It will update the kitchen overall. You could always apply faux stainless steel film to fridge and dishwasher....although i dont think it will look bad with white at all.

Why don't you paint your cabinets white and the fridge and dishwasher will blend in and have your new stainless oven as a feature...

Thanks Lydiarose92! That's the goal. I want to paint the cabinets since they are in great shapes. I don't want to go too white, maybe a soft white. I really regret buying the white appliances now.

Be careful with a soft white. It might make the cabinets appear grungy. Perhaps you could paint the cabinets a color similar to the counter top.
New hardware in a brushed nickel finish will be a detail that "goes with" the new stainless steel stove.
Just an aside, I see a white teakettle and a white blender? You are worried about too mich white. If your budget allows, give these items to a young person setting up housekeeping for the first time. Treat yourself to stainless versions.

Thanks Eztia. Great ideas and will definitely invest in stainless teakettle and blender. My goal is to get granite counter tops, new backsplash, new floor, all neutral colors. I am planning to use oil rubbed bronze handles and lighting. The walls will be beadboard. The family room off the kitchen is beadboard painted a soft white so I want to do the same thing in the kitchen.

With the new information you just provided, I agree with the Houzzer who suggested the stainless film for the refrigerator and dishwasher. It will help the oil rubbed bronze blend in better.

Okay. I will consider that. This is going to be a slow remodel since its on a budget.
