RUG Situation...

I need to find the perfect rug for my living area. My living area is a loft-like space and the rug that I choose must coordinate with the rug in my bedroom area. I have a rug in my bedroom, but am not married to it. I am however married to my color scheme. I basically would like to have two different styles of rug (one patterned, one solid?, shag?) HELP!!!!
