We have a totally awesome small little cape. We've progressively remodeling the entire place... and have been having a blast!

We do well with colors, layout, efficient use of space/storage... but, neither of us are any good with furniture. Too practical. We go for function and comfort. We would like to add a form in there as well to help open up and improve the flow.

So, we are almost done converting our former sunroom to a kitchen. We then plan to open the rest of the main floor into a combined living room dining room. Here's the layout:

It seems like a good idea to us to keep the line of sight and travel open from the entryway to the kitchen. Does this make sense to you all?

In that light, here was our thought for a potential layout:

In the lower left, we were thinking a love seat, two chairs, and a coffee table. In the upper right, our 10' x 30" dining table. Does this makes sense? Any suggestions? Something better? We want to keep a nice flow and to help the fairly small room feel open.
